Larissa joins the Vascular Infection Research Group as its first member and Lab Manager

She completed her PhD in Clinical and Molecular Virology in Erlangen, where her research focused on antibody-mediated protection against cytomegalovirus, a member of the herpesvirus family.

Beyond her passion for research and medicine, Larissa is an enthusiastic photographer. For her, research and photography share strong parallels—both rely on attention to detail, composition, and perspective, as well as the ability to step back and see the bigger picture.
