Biosketch
Prof. Dr. Simone Mader heads the Department of Translational Immunology at Universitätsklinikum Erlangen. She earned a PhD in Neuroscience in Innsbruck and completed her postdoctoral research at the Feinstein Institute for Medical Research in New York before leading a junior research group at LMU Munich.
Her research team studies autoreactive antibodies and B cells in autoimmune diseases of the central nervous system (CNS). The presentation will cover antibody-mediated mechanisms of CNS dysfunction in the adult and developing brain, highlighting implications for diagnostics and therapy.
