The Sedzinski lab is hiring!

PhD Student and Postdoctoral Researcher in Stem Cell Biology and Mechanobiology

We are seeking highly motivated researchers to join our team focused on engineering reproducible and scalable human airway organoids for disease modeling and therapeutic screening. The project integrates adult stem cell biology, tissue engineering, quantitative imaging, omics profiling, tissue mechanics, and computational modeling to develop next-generation airway models for studying disorders such as asthma, COPD, and primary ciliary dyskinesia, and for accelerating the discovery of regenerative therapies.

IMPORTANT:

The position will initially be based at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. Around mid-2026, the laboratory will relocate to the Max-Planck-Zentrum für Physik und Medizin in Erlangen, Germany, and only candidates willing to move with the group should apply.

If you are interested in this position, please get in touch with Prof. Jakub Sedzinski.
